The Top 5 Funniest Entries in Vader’s Little Princess

Princess Leia is one of the best fictional female characters of all-time. Her iconic distress call to old Ben is one of cinema’s cleverest deception. Scenes thereafter proved Leia is no helpless damsel. Tenacious and trenchant, the rebel princess knows how to fire blasters, maneuver landspeeders and steal Death Star plans. But most of all, Leia can handle Han Solo. The Corellian pilot is quite a handful scoundrel but his sarcasm is no match to The Other Hope. With all these credentials, I sometimes wonder how different it would have been if Ben Kenobi chose to train Leia instead of her brother. After all, she is Jedi-born. I think the rebellion would have ended quicker because her insults  alone will drive Emperor Palpatine to commit suicide. And her father? The Jedi-mind tricks are useless. How can he do it to her little princess? Comic book artist JEFFREY BROWN conjured humorous situations of the Dark Lord and Leia in VADER’S LITTLE PRINCESS. This little book is such a charmer as Darth Vader transforms into a classic pestered sitcom dad while Leia cruises into adolescence like a reckless Imperial shuttle.

NUMBER FIVE: DARTH VADER REPRIMANDS INAPPROPRIATE SLAVE BIKINI-WEARING LEIA

3

PERSONAL TAKE: Because a Princess Leia list is incomplete without the inappropriate slave bikini.

NUMBER FOUR: THE SNOOZE BUTTON IS STRONGER THAN THE FORCE

2

PERSONAL TAKE: The Force is not a surefire mechanism in parental discipline.

NUMBER THREE: HOLOGRAM MESSAGES > SKYPE

4

PERSONAL TAKE: Leia and R2D2 are the most stubborn characters in the film. Makes sense our little droid is in cahoots with her. Insubordination is an inherited trait. Just ask the parents of our princess.

NUMBER TWO: MISCHIEF MANAGED

1

PERSONAL TAKE: Brown re-conceptualizes one of the most famous scenes in the entire space opera in the most adorable manner. Look at her smile.

NUMBER ONE: HAN SOLO IS IN BIG TROUBLE

5

PERSONAL TAKE: Teen problems can disrupt the the Dark Side.
